The main objective of this documentary is to make Bella’s voice heard. It seeks to make people aware of the human implications of large-scale dams while contributing to empower local leaders fighting for social change and justice. Bella’s voice will reach policy makers, researchers and students in the Netherlands, Ecuador and beyond interested in contributing to a more just and inclusive world where Bella and her family also have a place.

Our project is independently developed and produced by a highly committed interdisciplinary team of four professionals combining  knowledge and skills from the creative and academic sectors.

In 2016, our team was granted seed funds to travel to Ecuador and film the first part of the documentary. Bella’s story is half way there… waiting to be told. This is where your donation can make a difference.
